Mr. Sun, are you going away?

You’re slipping down low

Oh, where will you go?

Mr. Sun, are you done for the day?

 

Mr. Sun, are you done for the day?

Mr. Sun, are you going away?

The sky is all pink

But you seem to sink

Mr. Sun, are you done for the day?

 

Mr. Sun, are you done for the day?

Mr. Sun, you have gone away!

Where do you hide?

Did you go inside?

Mr. Sun,  you are done for the day.

 

Mr. Sun, you are done for the day.

Mr. Sun, you have gone away.

The moon hangs high

In the starry sky

Mr. Sun, you are done for the day.

 

Mr. Sun, you are done for the day.

Mr. Sun, you have gone away.

The stars shine bright

Through the cloak of night

Mr. Sun, you are done for the day.

 

Mr. Sun, you are done for the day.

Mr. Sun, you have gone away.

I hear the hoot of an owl

And the coyotes howl

Mr. Sun, you are done for the day.

 

Mr. Sun, you are done for the day.

Mr. Sun, you have gone away.

The crickets they cheep

But the children all sleep

Mr. Sun, you are done for the day.

 

Mr. Sun, you are done for the day.

Mr. Sun, you have gone away.

The moon is out

And the doggies they shout

Mr. Sun, you are done for the day.

 

Now, Mr. Moon, are you out here all night?

Mr. Moon, you’re NOT a lot of light.

So be quick, Mr. Sun

And get the night done

So tomorrow will be happy and bright!
